It is such an amazing moment when you help your Total Knee Replacement patient, Bryan, achieve all his goals he set out from when he first started physical therapy. With the help from our physical therapist, Joe, our physical therapist assistant Matt and our entire Lynbrook staff, we had another successful total joint replacement patient! Bryan said, because of physical therapy…”I can walk up and down the stairs and exercise. I can stand and cook for my friends and neighbors for hours. I am loving getting around again. Thank you to Peak’s amazing team.” Great job team and great job Bryan!
Our total knee replacement patient, Lorna, and our Lynbrook staff, are so excited to have completed physical therapy and ring the bell for her last day of therapy! She could not have reached her goals if not for our dedicated staff of Nicole, our physical therapist, Joe, our physical therapist assistant and Frankie, our physical therapist aide. Outstanding work!
Our New Hyde Park physical therapist, Jen, with her very happy Total Knee Replacement patient, Theresa. After knee replacement surgery, Theresa’s goal was to “walk without pain”. We are so very excited to see her holding up her sign, that she was able to achieve her goals with all our New Hyde Park staffs help!
Peak Performance’s Aquatic Therapy Program is suitable for everyone, even those struggling to walk. William, a patient in our New Hyde Park Office, was struggling with walking and standing- then he was recommended to try out Aquatic Therapy. He experienced positive changes and progress, he had nothing but great things to say about his recovery and his Physical Therapy team! Read about William’s experience below:
“The level of team work and cooperation is really helpful to the patient. If my therapist is busy and I finish an exercise another staff member will set me up on the next machine without being asked. I’m a retired hospital administrator and I know what indicates a well run unit . The skill and attitude of the staff is exceptional. They are very careful about patient care and hygiene. Equipment is always cleaned after use and put away, hands are washed ,tables disinfected etc.. Along with this the cheerful attitude is infectious. The feeling of positive expectation gives a sense of optimism and hope . I noticed it especially when I first came in and couldn’t walk. I work with Zach and Carlo primarily but have been helped by everybody on the team. I find the front desk and billing dept. easy to work with and pleasant. Carlo makes the aquatic therapy a lot of fun. If you served Margaritas at the pool it would be ideal. I’ve made faster progress than I expected and feel very hopeful about complete recovery.”
At Peak Performance, we believe that you have the ability to live without the limits a joint replacement may put on your life. We are focused on returning you back to life comfortably so you can get back to doing the things you love, especially after a knee or hip replacement.
When patient, Frank, visited us for the first time he was recovering from knee replacement surgery and saw great success! Frank underwent the same surgery on the opposite knee, bringing him back to Peak Performance in Island Park. His confidence in his team of Physical Therapists, Physical Therapist Assistants, and Physical Therapy Aides was very apparent, they were part of the main goal to get Frank back to his life safely and confidently!
Frank wanted to share his thoughts on his recovery, read more below:
“Can’t say enough about John and his team at Peak Performance in Island Park. This is my second knee replacement, both times I chose to rehabilitate my knee at Peak. The team: John, Chris, Vinny, Liz, and all of the staff members helped me get back to ‘Peak Condition!’ Thank you!” -Frank R.
