The staff at Peak Performance Physical Therapy includes board certified specialists in orthopedic physical therapy (OCS), McKenzie certified specialists which is a specialty of the spine (cert MDT), Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialists (CSCS), Academic instructors at local universities, and authors of medically published work in trade journals.
Joseph Sullivan, PT, OCS, CSCS
Joe is recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association as a Certified Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy. This certification, which is held by less than 10% of physical therapists, entails advanced academic and clinical skills in the field.
Joe is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, and is recognized as a Hospital for Special Surgery Credentialed Advanced Hip Clinician. Joe practices out of our Lynbrook office.
Glenn Granzin, MS, PT, Cert MDT, CSCS
Glenn is a certified McKenzie therapist. This advanced spinal assessment and rehabilitation certification allows Peak Performance to offer the most effective care in addressing patients with spinal disorders. Glenn is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specailist. Glenn practices in our Wantagh office on Monday and Wednesday evening and our Island Park office on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.
John M. Finneran, PT, DPT
John holds a Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy from Daemen College. John has worked extensively with athletes at the college and professional level. John was the Physical Therapist for the NHL New York islanders from 1999-2007 and worked with the athletes from Hofstra University from 2000-2014. John is presently treating patients at our Island Park facility.
Robin Evans, DPT, Vestibular Certified Physical Therapist
Robin received her vestibular certification in 2007 from Emory college, she was honored with an excellence award in her treatment of vestibular patients in her 11 years at RUSK NYU Vestibular Rehabilitation Center. Giovanni Maturo, P.T., D.P.T.
Giovanni received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from N.Y.I.T, he is also in the process of completing the McKenzie technique certification. Gio practices in our Wantagh office.
Christopher Thomas, MS, PT, Cert. MDT, CSCS
In addition to his professional license and Masters Degree in Physical Therapy Christopher holds a Bachelors degree in Clinical Science. Chris is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and a McKenzie Certified spinal specialist. Chris practices in our New Hyde Park office.
Mitchell Henig, MS, PT
Mitch received his Masters Degree in Physical Therapy and Bachelor of Clinical Science with a Minor in Gerontology from Ithaca College. He received his Vestibular Certification from Emory University. Practicing since 2000, Mitch has over 18 years of experience specializing in the treatment of balance disorders, fall prevention, dizziness and vertigo. He brings his passion for vestibular and balance therapy to the Wantagh office.
George Adamides, PT, DPT, Cert. MDT
George received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Franklin Pierce University graduating with honors. In addition, George received a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science and a minor in Health and Wellness from SUNY Buffalo. George attained a Competency Certificate of Achievement from Emory University in Vestibular Rehabilitation. George is also certified in the McKenzie method of mechanical diagnosis and therapy by the McKenzie Institute U.S.A (Cert. MDT). George currently practices out of Lynbrook and serves as the Regional Program Leader of Vestibular and Balance Rehabilitation.
Nicole Osmundsen, PT, DPT
Nicole received a Bachelor of Life Sciences and Doctorate of Physical Therapy from New York Institute of Technology. Prior to joining the team at Peak Performance, Nicole gained clinical experience in both the subacute rehab and outpatient orthopedic setting. As part of Nicole’s doctoral program, she was involved in research that investigated if the substitution of shoulder internal rotation for external rotation during the upper limb neurodynamic test (ULNT3) evoked comparable ulnar nerve sensory responses in asymptomatic individuals. This research will be presented at the Association of Schools of Allied Health Professions (ASAHP) annual conference and at the APTA’s annual Combined Sections Meeting. Nicole practices at our Lynbrook location.
Jennifer McNaughton, PT, DPT
Jennifer McNaughton recently graduated from Quinnipiac University with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Throughout her clinical experiences, Jen has worked with a variety of orthopedic populations, such as pediatrics (including children with limb loss), geriatrics (Veterans), and athletes. Jen currently practices in our New Hyde Park office.
Kristan Catanese, PT, DPT
Kristan Catanese is a recent Mercy College graduate where she received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Prior to graduate school, she attended SUNY Oneonta where she received her Bachelor’s of Science in Biology with a concentration in Physical Therapy. Peak Performance is proud to have Kristan as a part of the team. Currently, she practices at our Island Park Office.
Mary Alice Curney, PT, DPT
Mary Alice Curney received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Quinnipiac University as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science. Prior to working at Peak Performance, she worked in both acute rehab and outpatient orthopedic settings with a variety of patient populations. Currently, she practices at our Lynbrook Office.
Karen Hogan-Curran, PT, DPT
Karen received her Vestibular Competency in 2002 from Emory University and her Advanced Vestibular Competency from Duke University in 2014. She practiced at RUSK NYU medical Center for 6 years with 1 ½ years in Vestibular Rehabilitation. In addition, she was the Program Director of the Balance Center for Vestibular and Balance Rehab in Bayside, Queens for 14 years. Karen received her Bachelors in Physical Therapy from SUNY Stony Brook in 1996 and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Touro College in 2010. She teaches Vestibular and Balance Rehab for Summit Education and is faculty for the SUNY Stony Brook Physical Therapy program. You can see Karen at our New Hyde Park office.
Nicole Sorrentino, PT, DPT
Nicole received a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Health Sciences and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Ithaca College. Nicole has worked with a variety of orthopedic populations including geriatrics and athletes. She also has her certification in LSVT BIG and Sole Supports. Nicole currently practices out of our Lynbrook office and is excited to bring her energy and enthusiasm to the Peak team!
Eva Milone, PT, DPT
Eva received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy, as well as Bachelors in Health Science, from Quinnipiac University. Throughout her clinical experiences, she has worked with a variety of populations, ranging from athletes to geriatrics. Eva practices in our Island Park office.
Jason Donin, DPT, CSCS
Jason completed his undergraduate education at Binghamton University with degrees in Economics and Psychobiology. After 5 years in the financial sector he then proceeded to attend The University of Miami Miller School of Medicine’s prestigious physical therapy program. Jason is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist in addition to a Graston Technique Therapy Specialist. Jason practices out of our Lynbrook office.
Dominick Rosello, PT, DPT, CSCS
Dominick received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the New York Institute of Technology in addition to a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science from SUNY Cortland. He is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Throughout his clinical affiliations, Dominick gained experience working in the rehabilitation of various orthopedic surgical procedures and return to sport programs for recreational to elite level athletes. Dominick practices at our Lynbrook office.
Jessica Hirsch, DPT
Jessica received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Northeastern University. Through Northeastern’s cooperative education experiences, she performed gait training using a locomotor treadmill for patients with neurologic deficits. She also worked extensively with Total Joint Replacement patients, as well as those with Vestibular conditions . Jess currently practices in our New Hyde Park office.
