How can positivity aid a person in their healing and recovery process? Maintaining and harboring negative energy is not healthy for the mind, body or soul. During Dana’s recovery for her back pain, her turning point came about when her therapist explained to her that she exhibited a negative personality. However, for Dana, the transition during her recovery was not an easy one. Prior to her injury, Dana was a dedicated and active runner, but having to rest in attempts to relieve her back pain had a major impact on her. Over time Dana learned to stay positive about her recovery, adopted a healthy diet and even returned gradually back to physical activity.
