At age 77, Bonnie does not let her age define her, she can be found enjoying life with her six grand children and traveling around the world. In 2006, Bonnie was experiencing such extraordinary pain that a simple task such as walking, grew quite difficult. Devastated, Bonnie became unable to participate in the life actives that she deeply loved and had a passion for. After having to leave a holiday party due to nausea and back discomfort, Bonnie was aware that the severity of this issue was serious. Meeting with a physician and extensively going over a plethora of testing, Bonnie got the news that the ailments were being caused from her hips. Results displayed that the cartilage in both her hips had immensely diminished; and bone spurs were a significant attribute to the pain. Bonnie’s final decision was to have both her hips replaced, if she was going to have surgery. Following Surgery, Bonnie’s overall outcome and healing process, was incredible. Gradually, Bonnie recovered with ease, and after a couple of months, Bonnie was back to her routine daily activities.
