Olmer’s Journey Continues: As Olmer Continued to spread his influence throughout the Dominican Republic, he discovered that most Dominican children shared a strong passion for baseball. Olmer explains to us the determination the children had to play using creative alternatives to make up for not having the proper equipment.
The children taught Olmer the process of how they recreated a bat by shaving down a tree branch. They also did not have access to a proper ball so they used a bottle cap as a substitute.
Even though the children did not have the appropriate equipment to play, they still displayed their dedication and passion playing a game with Olmer.
